Looking for Involvement:

  • *2018 will mark the 200th anniversary of Scottish immigrants settling in our town. Help us make this a truly memorable event. Call Hammond Museum 315-324-5032. The museum is...
looking for children that would like to place flags in our five cemeteries. A school, a club, a youth group, a family or a scout troop?

We need young adults that could design, practice and teach children's crafts ie, a clay river beast project, fake bag pipes, a map of Scotland game, putt-putt golf game
We need all ages to help make parts of the museum float and later, put the parts together.
We need people to sew costumes for the parade and photo booth.
We need donations of tartan, fake bag pipes, elastic of varying thicknesses and lengths, Velcro for costumes, paper towel, toilet, and wrapping paper tubes, balls of yarn.
We need flat beds and trailers for floats.
We need plastic soda bottles and possibly 3/4" PVC pipe in 12", or 24" lengths, 3/4" T and 90 degree PVC joints.

We need a representative to inform each of the following places of what is going on, encouraging people and businesses in their area to participate and prepare for these events and asking for participation in the parade:
Shermerhorn's Landing area
Blind Bay area
Chippewa Bay area
Village of Hammond area
Oak Point area
Black Lake area
South Hammond area

We need EVERYONE to please spread the word and show up to the events!! New ideas are welcome!
